Permethrin

Permethrin is available in a 1% cream rinse marketed as Kwellada-P creme rinse and Nix creme rinse.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Wash hair with shampoo, towel it dry and apply permethrin to the hair and scalp.
  2. After ten minutes, rinse hair thoroughly.
  3. Although a single treatment usually eliminates infestations, a second application of the product 7-10days after initial treatment is advisable.

ADVISORY NOTES:

No studies have been done on the potential effects of using permethrin during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is advisable to consult your doctor before using in this situation as well as in children under 2 years of age. It should not be used in those allergic to chrysanthemums.
